The USCIS will begin their yearly lottery for the H1-B CAP on March 7, 2025, at noon (Eastern time) and close it on March 24, 2025, at noon (Eastern time).

Last year there were close to 500,000 applicants for approximately 60,000 slots. This year, USCIS will be focused on ensuring that a potential employer makes only 1 application per beneficiary, and USCIS will require that the beneficiary provide their passport information for submitting the online application. USCIS plans to have the results of the selection process available by March 31, 2025. If selected, the Petitioner will have 90 days to file their H1-B packet with USCIS.
